An operator is a 95octane employee who manages the platform via the back office at https://admin.95octane.app.

• Placing and lifting user bans — see Ban User
• Handling ban appeals (chat thread counterpart)
• Reversing banned_final status
• Resetting buddy request caps in edge cases
• Banning and lifting bans on rides — see Ban a Ride
