Undelete a Ride

The ride creator recovers a soft-deleted ride before the midnight archival process permanently removes it.

Who Can Do This

  • Creator only.

Steps

  1. Open Ride History and locate the deleted ride.
  2. Open the ride.
  3. Select Undo Delete (or equivalent recovery action).
  4. Confirm the action.

Rules

  • Any deleted ride (draft, upcoming, or on-going at the time of deletion) can be recovered as long as the midnight archival process has not yet run.
  • The ride is restored to its previous status — a deleted draft returns as draft, a deleted upcoming returns as upcoming, a deleted on-going returns as on-going.
  • The recovery window is until the next midnight after the deletion (the same midnight that the archival process runs). Once archival completes, the ride cannot be recovered.
  • Only the creator can undelete. Admins cannot initiate recovery.

What Happens Next

The ride is immediately visible again to all participants and on any relevant discovery surfaces. All RSVP'd participants are notified that the ride has been restored.

Failure Cases

  • Archival already ran: the ride has been moved to Cloud Storage. Recovery is no longer possible.
  • Not the creator: only the ride creator can recover a deleted ride.
