View a Member's Profile
A member opens another member's in-group profile to see their details and available actions.
Who Can Do This
Any group member, admin, or owner. Accessible by tapping a member row in the group member list. See Browse Group Members.
Steps
- Open the group member list.
- Tap a member's row.
- The member's profile page opens.
What's Shown
- Profile photo
- Display name
- Role in this group (Owner, Admin, or Member)
- Buddy status (whether this person is a buddy of the viewer — see Add a Riding Buddy)
- Ride activity stats — total rides created and attended across the entire platform, not limited to this group. Only shown if the viewed member has set their ride stats to public in their profile privacy settings. If set to private, the stats section is hidden.
Actions Available
The actions visible on the profile page depend on the viewer's role:
- Any member: Can add or remove this person as a buddy (see Manage Riding Buddies). No other actions are available.
- Admin: Can add or remove as buddy. Can also remove this member if they are a regular member. The remove option is not shown if the subject is another admin or the owner.
- Owner: Can add or remove as buddy. Full management actions — remove this member, promote to admin, or demote from admin, depending on the subject's current role. The owner cannot act on themselves from this screen.
Rules
- The viewer's own profile is accessible from this screen. Buddy actions are not shown on your own profile. Management actions are never shown on your own profile.
- All management actions (remove, promote, demote) are suppressed while the group is archived. Only the owner and admins can reach this screen in archived state.
- If the member has left or been removed between opening the member list and tapping their row, a "Member not found" message is shown. No action is taken.
- The profile shown is the member's public in-app profile. No private information is exposed beyond what is visible to all users.
Status: partially-live. Backend returns member data via the group details endpoint. The groups module has not yet been built in the frontend.
