Browse Group Members

A member views the full list of people in a group.

Who Can Do This

Any group member, admin, or owner. Non-members cannot see the member list or individual member identities.

Steps

  1. Open the group details page.
  2. Tap the Members section or member count to open the full member list.

What's Shown

Each row in the list shows the member's profile photo, name, and role badge:

  • Owner — shown at the top of the list with a distinct badge.
  • Admin — shown below the owner, in a separate section.
  • Member — shown below admins, in alphabetical order.

Members who are also buddies of the viewer are highlighted visually to distinguish them from other members. See Add a Riding Buddy and Manage Riding Buddies.

The list also shows the total member count at the top.

Actions Available

The actions available from a member row depend on the viewer's role:

  • Any member: Tap a row to open that member's profile. See View a Member's Profile.
  • Admin: Additional actions to remove a regular member. Admins do not see action controls for other admins or the owner.
  • Owner: Full actions — remove any member or admin, promote a member to admin, or demote an admin to member. See Manage Admins and Remove a Member.

Rules

  • The list is only visible to current members. Non-members cannot access it.
  • Regular members cannot access this list while the group is archived. Only the owner and admins can view the member list of an archived group, and all management actions (remove, promote, demote) are suppressed in that state.
  • When a group is archived, admin and member sections may appear empty if there are no admins or only the owner remains. The sections are hidden if empty.
  • The member count shown at the top reflects confirmed members only. Users with a pending join request are not counted.
  • The viewer's own entry appears in the list with no special action controls (a member cannot act on themselves from this screen).

Status: partially-live. Backend returns the full member list in the group details endpoint. The groups module has not yet been built in the frontend.
